Warped Sense of Humor

In addition to Crash's tried-and-true box-whacking gameplay, Warped offers some gorgeous visual effects. The water-racing levels are particularly arresting, rivalling Wave Race on the N64 for sheer beauty and technical accomplishment. Furthermore, a few levels venture off the beaten Crash-path: You'll cruise through time and explore ancient pyramids, take a stroll through some lush Arabian levels, or dash past some dinosaurs in the Jurassic level Any way you look at it, our favorite Bandicoot has left his jungle home for some very inventive levels.

The Good, The Bad, and The Naughty

Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped Cheats

Naughty Dog, the development house behind previous Crash games, worked hard to make sure that Warped doesn't turn into just another sequel. Instead, the company layered in several technological achievements that shine in the gorgeous revision we saw. Split-plane water levels (which show a clear reflection of Crash above and below the waterline), millions of polygons per level, and no fogging or clipping in the backgrounds were just some of the improvements.

Crash Is Back

New elements that gamers will enjoy include time-trial levels that test Crash's speed, new power-ups such as a bazooka and a speed burst, and, of course, complex, fun level designs. If you've never played Crash before, you'll certainly do yourself a favor by checking out this one when it debuts in late October. Hopefully, Naughty Dog will just keep adding more and more cool touches until the game is ready to review in an upcoming issue.

Secrets

Secret Spyro the Dragon Demo

You can actually play a demo of the Playstation One game Spyro the Dragon.Although the game was developed by Insomniac Games, the game was released in 1998,when this game was released. To access the demo, press this stream on buttons on the title screen.(The screen where it says the game's title)For those wondering, this demo is accessible in the Playstation Network version of the game.

Button Input:

Up,Up,Down,Down,Left,Right,Left,Right,and press the Square button.
Note:You need to press these buttons in a fast motion. It is good to practice these button inputs before the title screen starts.
After you finish the button input correctly,a selectable option appears. It says 'Spyro the Dragon Demo'.Select it and hit the X button the Playstation Controller.A few pictures of the characters from Spyro the Dragon will play, with some words from some reviews of the game. The demo then starts. The demo is fully playable, and you can even rescue the dragons that have been cursed in stone. You can't save the game when talking to a fairy with the Triangle button as it just says that a memory card isn't detected, even if there is one in the console. The player can only access one hub world and one level alone. When trying to talk to the balloonist to get to more hub worlds,he simply says he can't do it and you can travel to other worlds in the full version of the game.
There isn't much of a difference with the demo and the actual retail game. The option to select the demo on the title screen will be removed, and you must input the code again to the access the demo.If anyone is interested in buying the full retail version of Spyro the Dragon game,it is available on the Playstation Network store.

Secret Level 31 'Hot Coco'

There is a secret Coco watercraft level. To access it,go to Level 14 'Road Crash' motorcycle level.Begin the race normally and take note on looking at all the signs on the left.A bit short in the race, there is a yellow street sign slightly next to the road with an alien head on it.Be sure to drive here slowly,as it's a bit hard to miss and you can't drive backwards. When you find it,drive into it and the sign will fall down.Crash will now be warped to Coco's secret level,Hot Coco.It is a watercraft level and the level exit is at the entrance,if you want to exit the level. It's a big level, and there is 70 boxes in it.You'll have to do some flips and tricks to get some of these boxes, and avoiding the nitro boxes. One box is even deep in the water! Do not be fooled by thinking it is an impossible box;you can get it by going at a fast pace through all three of the ramps.Overall,it's a pretty hard level if you want to break all the boxes.Due to the difficulty of this level,I wouldn't recommend it for beginner players.
This level is actually just an edited version of the extra level Level 26 'Ski Dazed'.Either this secret level was the original level they were going to use as level 26 but decided not to and instead added it as a secret level,or this was just used for testing purposes.I'm not really sure myself but it's a nice secret level to the game anyways. This level contains no crystal.

Secret Level 32 'Eggipus Rex'

In Level 11 'Dino Might!',in the beginning of the level, there is a yellow gem platform. You need to have a yellow gem in order for this platform to be walkable. You need to get the yellow gem in Level 27 'Hang'Em High'.If you don't have the yellow gem, here's some info:
First, you'll need 10 relics. It doesn't matter if they're gold, sapphire,or platinum, you'll just need 10 relics.Once you do,go to a platform in the middle of the hub world. It'll transport you to a place full of extra levels.Go to the level 27 spot, and go to the level. This version of Hang'Em High is touch,so you'll need some practice.Once you get the yellow gem in the level, you get warped back to the hub world.
Anyways,go to Level 11 'Dino Might!'.A little ways into the level, and you'll see a platform in the style of the yellow gem.Jump on it and it'll transport you to the secret area of Level 11.Once you get to the part with your running from a dinosaur, run and jump into the second Pterodactyl.Instead of it killing you,it will grab you and transport you to a secret level! This level is Level 32 'Eggipus Rex',and is a level in 2D! You get to ride a baby dinosaur and it even has a time trial. You'll have to do some big jumps here and there. You'll have to watch out for a few Pterodactyls, because they won't transport you to another secret level! This level contains a ton of fruit,so use this level as a life-grinding stage if you need one. There are no boxes in this level,so you'll get a silver gem when you complete this level.Depending on your time in the time trial, you'll get a relic.
Overall,it's an easy level if you time your jumps right. This level contains no crystal.

Unlockables

Secret Ending

Beating N.Cortex with all the crystals but no gems and relics gives you the bad ending, where Ooka Ooka and N.Cortex just warp off with just saying that's there's more crystals. The credits then roll and your back to the hub world. Not a very nice cliffhanger, ain't it?
Well,if you want the secret ending then you'll have to collect all 44 gems(including the colored ones) and 30 relics.Gold relics don't count;you need 30 sapphire and/or platinum relics.I recommend you get 30 sapphire relics,as they're easier to get than platinum relics. This is a pretty hard task.

Fireworks Show

To get a nice and rewarding fireworks show at the main hub world, collect 30 gold relics and talk to Coco. She's next to the load/save screen in the hub world. It'll then pan to a fireworks show that lasts for a short time.
